Five-Star Heart – Navy Football Films

In the military, there is no higher rank than that of five-star general or five-star admiral. The client wanted something representative of the university’s military roots for use in the highlight reels. Also, the big-time blue-chip athlete is often described as a “five-star athlete.” Navy Football believes that they win with heart, determination and teamwork. They believe these characteristics are more important than raw talent. So the objective of this identity was to express the belief that five-star heart trumps the five-star talent. It is a way to express who Navy Football is as a football program.

This identity package included a logo, business cards, letterhead, envelopes, and a website. It was created for Anne Stone Sumblin, a fourth generation Alabama lawyer from Bay Minette, Alabama. The site is built with HTML, CSS, and jQuery and it’s my first one-page sticky navigation site. It also uses cufón and a super-elegant free font called Calluna.

Why Weight?

Why Weight? is a non-surgical weight management program. The logo plays off of the double meaning of the word ‘weight’ and incorporates a visual reference to scales and clocks. I used an open source font called Mido.
